Misleading job offer, disorganized onboarding, and lack of accommodation led to a frustrating and disappointing experience. The good thingsWhile I appreciate the opportunity, my experience did not allow me to see the company’s strengths firsthand.
The challengesI was hired by Cognizant with the understanding that the role offered a permanent work-from-home setup. However, after accepting the job offer, I was informed that training would be conducted onsite in Urdaneta, Pangasinan, an arrangement I had clearly expressed concerns about due to my medical condition, which makes long-distance travel unsafe. Despite providing medical documents including an X-ray to support my request for reasonable accommodation, I was not given any viable options. Onboarding was disorganized, communication inconsistent, and expectations were misrepresented from the start. These events led to what I consider constructive dismissal, as the company failed to provide a safe and sustainable work environment as initially promised.
