What’s it like working at Cardinal Health?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees appreciate the people and culture at Cardinal Health, highlighting friendly colleagues, approachable management, and a supportive work environment. The benefits package is highly rated, including HMO coverage for dependents, bonuses, and incentives. Work/life balance is excellent with hybrid arrangements, weekends off, and flexible leave approval. Employees feel recognised and appreciated through regular celebrations and acknowledgement of their contributions, and training opportunities are available through classroom sessions and mentorship programmes.

However, there are some potential challenges, such as limited career advancement opportunities with tenure sometimes prioritised over merit in promotions, and compensation that could be more competitive, particularly for internally promoted staff. The call volume and workload can be high with challenges in managing queues, and new processes and transitions are sometimes introduced with limited training time and instructions.

    WORST recruitment process I've experienced.
    The good thingsRelatively higher pay
The challengesIn my almost 2 decades of working, this company gets the cherry as the absolute worst recruitment process. Right from the get go, they will have you screened by international background checkers who are utterly incompetent in what they do. They will continuously ask you for additional information about the character references you listed down, but if they fail to contact them, they will threaten you that you won't be endorsed for employment. What's absurd is, you are not allowed to provide alternative references - what the f? While you're getting ludicrous emails from their background checkers, the local HR or lead coordinators or whatever the hell they call themselves will pressure you to submit requirements ASAP. So, what's the purpose of sending requirements if your screeners won't even endorse you for employment.

Mixed bag, good and bad. supervisors seem to focus more on the agent's performance than the agent
The good thingsGood at first, pretty difficult in the long run. HMO, hybrid perks and events provide employees engagement.
The challengesThey seem to hire all the time, but barely fill in the numbers to improve the service level and take care of all the queues.

I'd always say that I got the best company to work for.
The good thingsGreat place to work at. Employees are consistently recognized and appreciated for their hard work, contributions, and embodiment of company values. The company invests in its employees through training, mentorship, and clear paths for career progression. Employees receive fair pay and a best benefits package. CHIP always have something to celebrate which I've enjoy the most. Lastly, they are generous on giving bonuses, random salary increase and incentives.
The challengesI felt challenged to do more and better as I can see that Cardinal Health, CHIP-to be specific, gives back. They always care about their employees.
