It was founded by Dr. Thelma N. Clemente, Mr. Luis C. Clemente and a handful of her contemporaries in the medical profession. The center was built and inaugurated on March 19, 1970.The institution’s progress over the years can be clearly seen from its rapid extension. From an initial 100 patient bed capacity in 1970, it has expanded to 300 beds after years of operation.
