I have been having a good learning experience due to the nature of projects assigned to me. Challenges within the context of a project is what I like. Other than this, I can see a lot of room of improvement for management, a lot of politics and drama going on.The good thingsAlmost none. My team only because we are part of a good line management unlike majority of the employees.
The challengesPoor HR services - unclear and poorly documented benefit information, late tax adjustments, occasional errors in payslip due to issues in leave tracking system, leave carry over rule that changes annually but is always announced very late in the year too.
Poor management - untimely and poor communication of major changes within the company, poor line management for majority of the employees because line managers are not assessed based on management skills but on designation level. Heavy politics is always on the play. It influences appraisal of individual employees and their project assignments as well as lack of disciplinary actions for low performing employees.
Poor culture - the company's idea of culture and engagement is limited to only giving free flowing alcohol for any occassion.
