What’s it like working at Cambridge University Press & Assessment?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Cambridge University Press & Assessment stands out for its strong commitment to work-life balance, offering flexible and hybrid work arrangements that employees consistently praise. The organisation cultivates a supportive and inclusive culture where employees feel valued, with management actively focusing on employee wellbeing. Notable benefits include immediate regularisation from day one, extensive learning opportunities, and a collaborative environment that promotes professional growth.

Areas for potential improvement include the structure of salary progression, with some employees noting limited annual increases. The healthcare benefits system could be enhanced, particularly regarding reimbursement processes. Additionally, while the global nature of the organisation provides excellent exposure, coordinating across time zones between Manila and UK offices can present occasional challenges.

Average salary, good work life balance
The good thingsLax environment, good work life balance
The challengesVery slow paced. 3-5% increase per year depending on performance and no ad hoc increase allowed. Transferring to a same level in different dept has no increase. AI Dept rollout in PH does not fit to production standards and not practical, looks like a hobby

The good things-Great Place To Work -Hybrid and flexible work setup -Supportive Management -Provide Trainings for Upskilling -Global Exposure in Business
The challengesNone so far. Maybe just the location, it can be a bit challenging to find transportation since it's in Makati.

Where Careers Go to Die 💀
The good thingsIf your career ambitions are dead, and you just need a salary to survive, this company will take you. Otherwise, steer clear.
The challengesThe Manila office claims to have management, but they clearly have zero clue how to help anyone grow. Maybe the UK higher-ups have a plan, but if they do, the Manila "leads" are too incompetent to ever make it happen or even explain it.
