It is the first educational institution in the Philippines to receive authorization by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) to offer the Middle Years Programme (IB–MYP, Grades 6 – 8). With the authorization of its Primary Year Programme (IB–PYP, K – Grade 5) in 2005 and now its IB–MYP Programme in 2007, the Beacon School has the distinction of being the first and only fully IBO authorized educational institution in the Philippines for every level of its academicprogrammes.
