What’s it like working at Ateneo De Manila University?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Ateneo De Manila University stands out for its supportive and nurturing culture, where colleagues create a family-like atmosphere. The institution boasts an impressive campus with excellent facilities, including well-equipped libraries and faculty lounges. The English-speaking environment provides valuable opportunities for language skill development, particularly for non-native speakers.

However, there are some areas for improvement, including the pace of salary progression, which some employees find slow despite competitive starting rates. Transportation access to the campus can be challenging for those relying on public transport. Additionally, while the university excels in tertiary education, the basic education programmes could benefit from more innovative learning approaches.

Toxic and worst experience. I regret spending most of my career here. No growth. No plans of changing the rotten system.
The good thingsBonuses that is limited only to favorite employees of Director.
The challengesToxic work environment, Leadership is worst, some employees are not fit to work making the workload heavy for others, Offering a very low salary for a wide scope of job description (18k per month? that is very 2000s), unprofessional employees especially the favorite department of Director, Power tripping by old employees, Spreading gossip everywhere especially employees with no life outside work.

The good things1. I like the library services and the faculty lounge 2. The salary is a bit competitive compared to other private schools and state universities/colleges. 3. They speak both English and Filipino, but primarily English. Non-native English speakers will be able to practice and apply their skills in using the language. 4. Friendly people.
The challengesIt's a struggle to get to the university through public transportation.

    Great campus, people, and culture
The good thingsADMU has an amazing campus with great people and a generally supportive culture.
The challengesDespite being arguably the leading private university in the Philippines, ADMU is not the top-paying private university. It has very innovative programs at the tertiary level but the basic ed levels are not early adopters when it comes to innovative learning approaches and systems.
