What’s it like working at Asia Pacific Energy Corporation?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at Asia Pacific Energy Corporation appreciate the good benefits offered, as well as the opportunities provided for those without prior experience in the power plant industry. Selected employees are offered housing programs, and dormitory accommodation is also available, though the priority system is noted as being complicated. Employees have access to the entire power plant as a training ground, providing extensive learning opportunities.

However, there are some potential challenges, such as compressed and shifting schedules, working with little supervision, indications that standard operating procedures may be bypassed in order to achieve faster results, concerns that management may not be open to change or improvement and may not invest sufficiently in their employees, issues with under or over utilisation of personnel leading to an imbalanced workload, instances of promotions without salary increases, and the significant challenge of needing to learn everything at once.

    Great first job but.
The good thingsYou can work here with no experience. APEC will give you the opportunity, unlike other power plants that requires at least 3 years experience. Housing program are given to selected employees with evaluation higher than 3rd. Dorm is also available, but priority list is a bit complicated.
The challengesMost concerns are case by case basis. SOPs are being bypassed to get fast results. Management not open to change or improvement. Management does not invest in their employees. Personnel's are either under or over utilized. Promotion without salary increase.

    Mechanical Technician for new graduates.
The good thingsYou get to have access to everything. The whole power plant would be your training ground/school. Accommodation would be one of the best in the Philippines.
The challengesThe main challenge would be getting to learn everything all at once.
