A steady and organized place to work where the environment is supportive.
The good thingsI enjoyed the steady routine and the clear structure that Amazon gives you. The training helped me feel prepared and I liked that there was always someone around who could answer questions when I was unsure about something. I also appreciated how organized everything was because it made the work feel predictable and easy to follow. The team environment was supportive, and most people were willing to help each other out which made long shifts feel much easier.
The challengesSome days could feel overwhelming when the workload picked up and it sometimes felt like there was not enough time to catch your breath. Certain tasks could get repetitive, and it could be tiring to keep the same pace for long periods of time. I also think there could be more focus on work life balance because it can be hard to manage long shifts with responsibilities outside of work.

A rewarding role that improved my skills in e-commerce, client handling and marketplace management.
The good thingsI enjoyed managing multiple Amazon seller accounts, optimizing product listings, and handling customer communications. The role allowed me to grow my skills in e-commerce, digital marketing, and client relationship management while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
The challengesSome challenges included tight deadlines, high client expectations, and occasional lack of clear communication between teams. More structured training and better internal coordination could help improve overall workflow.

Amazon used to have a more supportive culture, with plenty of employee perks like gifts and giveaways that made people feel valued. Things changed when managers from outside and the BPO industry came in — now it feels stricter, with power-tripping leadership and perks being cut back. Employees are treated more like metrics than people, and tenure or loyalty no longer matter. While pay and benefits are stable, the culture has shifted toward control and cost-cutting rather than support and recognition.
The good things✅ Pay and Benefits – Stable salary, healthcare, allowances, and incentives. ✅ Global Brand – Having Amazon on your résumé carries weight. ✅ Training and Skills – You learn to work in a fast-paced, structured environment. ✅ Opportunities for Promotion – Career growth is possible if you meet performance.
The challenges❌ Metrics Over People – Employees are treated as numbers, not individuals. ❌ Tenure Doesn’t Matter – Years of loyalty and service don’t protect you if your metrics dip. ❌ Power-Tripping Managers – Leadership from outside/BPO culture created a stricter, less supportive environment. ❌ Loss of Perks – Gifts and giveaways that once boosted morale have been cut back (“kinuraklot”). ❌ High Stress – Constant pressure to meet performance targets without enough understanding of challenges. ❌ Limited Support – Minimal consideration for mental health or personal situations (like single parents).

In-House Company with a BPO Setup
The good thingsVery welcoming, especially for career shifters like me. As a first-time call center agent, I appreciated the people-centered management (this was during 2022-2023, realistic expectations, and fun activities that made work enjoyable.
The challengesAmazon now places a strong emphasis on numbers, often making employees feel like they’re just metrics. Targets are increasingly unrealistic, with frequent changes in policies. To meet expectations, you're required to maintain near-perfect scores—only 1 DSAT to every 19 CSATs. Much of this pressure comes from leadership’s push to make the site #1 globally, mainly to impress US management. You’ll also be asked for your preferred schedule every two months, but in most cases, WF and OM make the final decision. Often, you're assigned a schedule that’s far from your stated preference. LOL

The best salary I've ever had on a remote work setup, but good things don't last. Also a pressure cooker environment.
The good thingsGreat compensation, well above-board. Competitive benefits--restricted stock units for managers and up, medical needs reimbursement, employee assistance program. Incredible opportunities for growth--you're not limited to in-country transfers and can aim to relocate if eligible. Learned a ton from tech teams, got exposed to a whole new world of product and program management even though I had no prior experience. You can bask in the prestigious big tech reputation if you're into that.
The challengesLike most Big Tech companies, the direction has been to move in-office 5 days a week. If you're in a smaller-population geography your job isn't safe and you're better off finding opportunities elsewhere. Working in Tech means intense pressure to meet launch deadlines, stakeholders who don't know what they want, and being paged at 4AM to fix a non-issue posing as a Sev2.

Amazon offers a fast-paced, high-impact work environment with great opportunities for growth but comes with intense pressure and demanding expectations.
The good thingsCareer Growth – With its vast global presence, Amazon offers numerous opportunities for advancement and internal mobility.
The challengesAmazon's leadership principles emphasize high standards, which can create a stressful atmosphere.

    Great and memorable experience.
The good thingsThe working environment is friendly, and all of the modules for training are well-made and well-thought-out.
The challengesMost of my colleagues are not into gaming and were not aware of the position they were assigned to, but later on, they coped with the knowledge because of the training manuals.

This is my first company and it leaves trauma to me which came to a point that I curse customer service and do not want to get into that job anymore
The good thingsIt is good for newbies who are looking for high basic salary plus there is transpo allowance
The challengesMetrics to achieve are too idealistic and not realistic. Some of the TMs will not scrub your late though you have a valid reason and you informed them. My duty starts at 9pm but I will commute around 6pm just to get on time. The changes happened almost every month or week. All agents were blended where in they are using us on different department but no increase in pay

A self-motivated recruiter with more than 3 years of experience in the full recruitment lifecycle, sourcing top-tier talent for thriving sectors.
The good thingsAmazon provides many learning opportunities for me and allows myself to grow and develop at my own pace. I work with an adept team who pushed me to go beyond my limits and believed in my potential.
The challengesThings that go beyond my control would be the opportunities for a longer tenure. Working for a huge company has its own gaps because there are more than a million employees being managed. The company cannot guarantee any promises for fixed-term workers given that they are outnumbered by the full-time employees who are more invested by the business.

with this company I learned a lot for BPO industry for my first time to shift my career. multi-tasking and time-management ,value patience, and above all being a team player.

The challengesLack of career growth and some of management in the production they are based on the high metrics. you have to meet the high expectations for you team. loading queueing calls. some of accts. is toxic.
