The best career launchpad, worst for career maturityThe good thingsThere a lot of training opporutnities in Accenture and it is already a well-established veteran in its industry. Systems and Infrastructure are in place so the focus here is to be operationally excellent.
The challengesSince the culture and underlying systems are established, Accenture has been an industry player that, internally, could be complacent. It trusts in its brand too much that there is a huge disconnect from its human resource. There are fewer and fewer opportunities for rank and file employees to flourish. I find that the succession practices are lacking - managers come and go without sharing their best practices and knowledge that well. I have gone under 3 different managers and only my first manager has been the most competitive and capable one. The other two lack the wisdom and discernment to guide their employees or be proactive leaders.
