What’s it like working at Accenture?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at Accenture value the supportive and collaborative team environment, with colleagues who are helpful, knowledgeable, and create a sense of work family. The company offers abundant learning and development opportunities through training resources and diverse project exposure that help build new skills. Benefits packages are strong, including reliable compensation, HMO, and annual bonuses, whilst flexible working arrangements with hybrid setups are appreciated. Approachable leadership provides guidance and support to employees across various teams.

However, there are some potential challenges to consider. Career progression and promotion can be a lengthy process, sometimes taking several years, and salary increases may be modest, particularly for tenured or home-grown employees. Workload can be heavy in certain teams, with high-paced environments that may impact work-life balance. Some employees have noted challenges with recruitment communication and HR responsiveness, as well as internal processes that can feel manual or complex to navigate. Additionally, training and project assignments may not always align perfectly with employees' existing skills, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Only a good company if you treat it as a stepping stone or if you're already in your mid-late career
The good thingsFirst year was rough, unwanted tech-stack with a hectic bootcamp (dynamics 365) and a bit of toxic managers/leads. I got put in a project that I really didn't know what to do. I just got lucky someone pulled me out. Then the next years are great. I enjoy the tech-stack I'm currently using. Co-workers are great and helpful. Clients are approachable and understanding.
The challengesProject is a lottery for fresh graduates. You might be assigned to tech-stack that you don't want. I got lucky someone pulled me out of my misery. Promotion is near impossible unless you're a real genius in what you do. I only got a small amount of increase like 2-3 times despite my good performance, even with a good review from my team lead, it didn't matter.

Great coworkers, compensation & offices are nice. But no work-life balance, and demands flexibility.
The good thingsTeammates and co-workers were are helpful and knowledgeable, leads and bosses help and are approachable. The work was straight forward most of the time, and the facilities are really good. Salary is never late, benefits and HMO are actually useable. Good for a first job.
The challengesWork load can be heavy and numerous at times, there is a possibility that you will change teams or be put on loan to other teams so you need to be agile and learn quick, but they do provide you some support. Not all towers are like this, though it would be good to hire extra people to ensure quality and higher numbers done. Your work-life balance may suffer in certain teams.

Information about the application process should be consistent.
The good thingsProcess of application is neat and somewhat organized.
The challengesI passed the screening and assessment exam. The time I had the HR interview, I was informed that if I pass the interview, it will be job offer immediately after. Our conversation went good. Before we end, the HR told me that she will send me the result of the interview the night of the same day or the next day through email, and she told me I was good to go home. Suddenly just approximately 15 minutes later (I was already on my way home riding a public jeepney), I saw an unknown number on my phone that tried to call me 4 times. I was not expecting any calls at all because I was informed that they will be sending me an email for the result. After those missed calls, I received an email from Accenture saying that they have "withdrawn" my application - and if I am still interested, I can reach out. I tried to reply to the email, but it takes no replies. I tried to message the HR with the reason I missed to answer the call, then she sent me an email saying I have FAILED my HR interview.
