How to become a Mechanical Engineer
Mechanical engineering is a licensed career track in the Philippines. You will need a bachelor degree as well as a license to become a Mechanical Engineer.
- Pursue a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
- Complete on-the-job training during your fourth year of college at a mechanical engineering practice.
- Study for the Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination conducted by the Board of Mechanical Engineering of the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC).
- Pass the exam to become a licensed Mechanical Engineer.
- Gain years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer to get promoted to a leadership or managerial role in a company.
