Quantity Surveyor- Grants & Estimating (Up to ₱40K | Work-from-Home | FREE AI Certification)

Philippines | Work-from-Home | 5:00 AM–2:00 PM PH Time | Monday–Friday

You own the end-to-end coordination of grant opportunities — researching, costing, and submitting applications that secure private and government funding for an Australian electrical and construction business and the regional sporting associations it partners with. Your Quantity Surveying or construction estimating background is what makes the difference here: you can interpret project scopes, validate cost inputs, and produce technically credible submissions that funding bodies take seriously.

This is not a generalist admin role. You operate within defined scopes, apply QS principles to budget preparation and cost planning, and are trusted to produce deadline-driven submissions with minimal supervision. Best suited for QS professionals or experienced construction estimators who are looking to apply their technical skills in a remote, documentation-focused capacity.

You're Likely a String Fit If You Have

  • A background in Quantity Surveying or Construction Estimating — formal qualification strongly preferred; equivalent hands-on estimation experience considered

  • 2+ years in QS, cost planning, construction administration, grant writing, or tender/proposal development

  • Hands-on experience drafting structured written outputs (grants, tenders, BOQs, proposals, or formal cost reports) using approved templates and compliance frameworks

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, plus exposure to project management or CRM tools such as Monday.com, ClickUp, Asana, Airtable, or HubSpot

  • Experience interpreting project scopes, technical documentation, and cost or budget summaries

  • Willingness to work 5:00 AM–2:00 PM PH Time aligned with Australian business hours from a stable home-office setup with reliable internet

Strong Signals

  • Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Engineering

  • Prior experience writing grants, tenders, or proposals for Australian businesses or familiarity with Australian government grant systems

  • Exposure to the construction, electrical, manufacturing, or trades industries

  • Comfort using AI tools to accelerate research, drafting, and review workflows

Responsibility Pillars

Grant Research & Opportunity Identification

You own the live pipeline of funding opportunities — identifying grants aligned with active projects before deadlines close in.

  • Monitor Australian government, local council, and private-sector funding portals and grant announcements

  • Map grant eligibility against company capabilities, active projects, and sporting partner needs

  • Maintain a live grants pipeline tracker and submission calendar

  • Summarise eligibility criteria and requirements for internal review

Grant Writing & Submission

You translate project intent into compliant, deadline-driven applications that meet Australian funding standards.

  • Draft grant applications using approved templates and supporting documentation

  • Prepare structured responses covering project outcomes, economic impact, innovation, sustainability, job creation, and financial viability

  • Consolidate supporting documents from internal teams and verify compliance and formatting requirements

  • Submit applications through online grant portals within deadline windows

Technical & Financial Coordination

You convert raw technical and cost data into clear, defensible inputs that strengthen each submission.

  • Interpret project scopes, technical specifications, and engineering documentation

  • Organise quotes, invoices, and supporting evidence into submission-ready packages

  • Prepare project cost estimates, budget summaries, and ROI calculations

  • Coordinate timelines and milestones across concurrent submissions

Administrative & Reporting Systems

You own the documentation backbone — keeping records, deadlines, and post-award obligations on track.

  • Maintain grant tracking systems and CRM records

  • Track submission deadlines and post-award reporting obligations

  • Prepare progress reports and acquittals where required

  • Organise folders, templates, and documentation systems; attend internal project meetings as required
