About the Role
We are seeking a Bilingual Crypto Compliance Analyst (English/Mandarin) to support customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, AML investigations, and regulatory compliance activities across our cryptocurrency operations. This role requires professional fluency in both English and Mandarin, as you will review documentation, conduct investigations, and communicate with Mandarin-speaking customers and stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
Monitor Transactions
• Review cryptocurrency transactions and identify suspicious or high-risk activity.
• Use blockchain analytics tools such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs, or Elliptic to investigate unusual patterns, sanctioned wallets, or illicit activity.
Perform KYC and KYB Reviews
• Verify the identity of individual customers and business clients.
• Use AML screening tools such as Sumsub, Shufti Pro, LexisNexis, Refinitiv, or ComplyAdvantage.
Investigate Suspicious Activity
• Review flagged transactions and gather supporting evidence.
• Prepare reports for regulatory agencies when necessary.
Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence
• Perform in-depth reviews of high-risk customers, jurisdictions, or transactions.
Stay Up to Date with Regulations
• Monitor changes in crypto regulations and help maintain internal compliance procedures.
• Support compliance with requirements such as the Travel Rule and other evolving regulations.
Non-Negotiable Skills and Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Criminal Justice, Law, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in financial services, AML, KYC, fraud prevention, or compliance.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills.
Preferred
• Understanding of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency wallets.
• Experience with blockchain analytics platforms such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs, or Elliptic.
• Familiarity with AML/KYC tools including Sumsub, Shufti Pro, Refinitiv, LexisNexis, or ComplyAdvantage.
• Knowledge of U.S. regulations (FinCEN, Bank Secrecy Act, Travel Rule) and/or Canadian regulations (FINTRAC, PCMLTFA).
• Professional certifications such as CAMS, CFCS, or crypto-related compliance certifications.
• Experience working in the cryptocurrency, fintech, banking, or payments industry.
• Knowledge of U.S. and Canadian AML regulations.
• Familiarity with cross-chain transaction tracing and blockchain investigations.
