Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Australian payroll, with strong knowledge of PAYG, STP, superannuation, Modern Awards, and compliance requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office 365
- Experience using payroll systems such as MYOB or similar platforms
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new payroll technologies and systems
- Experience with Salesforce is advantageous but not required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain payroll information clearly to employees, clients, and stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing and data entry
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines independently

Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end weekly payroll for the temporary workforce
- Identify the correct Australian Modern Award and ensure accurate award interpretation and employee remuneration
- Administer the online timesheet system and employee self-service application
- Prepare weekly margin reports and other payroll-related reports
- Prepare, reconcile, and submit monthly superannuation reports
- Maintain accurate records for WorkCover, Payroll Tax, and WIC codes
- Administer and report Portable Long Service Leave entitlements
- Maintain accurate payroll databases and employee records
- Upload payroll data for Single Touch Payroll (STP) submissions
- Monitor the payroll mailbox and respond to employee payroll inquiries
- Maintain payroll system integrity and ensure compliance with recordkeeping requirements
- Stay informed of legislative and regulatory changes impacting Australian payroll
- Support the Senior Payroll Officer and Group Finance Director with reporting, project work, system testing, and process improvement initiatives
- Assist with administrative activities supporting payroll and invoicing functions
