Work Arrangement: Work from Home
Location: Angeles (Pampanga), Mabalacat, Ortigas, Makati, Cebu, Davao, Bacolod
Schedule: Morning Shift

Job Description:

We are seeking a Tax Accountant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an individual with strong accounting and tax compliance expertise, particularly within Australian public practice. You will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing compliance requirements, and supporting clients across a range of entities including companies, trusts, partnerships, and sole traders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements to trial balance stage for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, and Sole Traders in Xero.

  • Prepare and process Business Activity Statements (BAS) out of Xero.

  • Manage tax compliance obligations, including GST and related reporting.

  • Collaborate with clients to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

  • Maintain strong documentation and written communication for client files and reports.

  • Liaise with clients and team members, demonstrating strong verbal communication skills.

  • Support the implementation of best practices, including the use of workpaper systems (Business Fitness Active Workpapers experience desirable but not essential).

Qualifications and requirements:

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience working in an Australian public practice environment and AU Taxation (companies, trusts, partnerships, and sole traders)

  • Proficiency with Xero (hands-on experience required).

  • Proficiency in using Active workpapers, XPM, ASANA  is advantage.

  • Experience preparing BAS using Xero.

  • Strong Excel skills (minimum 7/10 competency).

  • Proven ability to prepare financial statements to trial balance stage.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Desirable (Nice-to-Have) Skills:

  • Experience with Class Super (not essential, but ideal).

  • Exposure to Business Fitness Active Workpapers.

  • Proximity to Clark (preferred but not essential)

Non-negotiable skills and requirements:
