The admin policies are not pro-employees.
The good thingsThe students are fun.
The challengesThe admin doesn't consider the effects of its policies on its employees. Their policies tend to be very-pro parents, pro-students and more about making money, and not much else. During COVID, they suddenly forced us to pack semestral subjects into 1 quarter which was terrible.

    Short and quite worthwhile.
The good thingsIt came unexpectedly. In 3 months I gained three certificates from a webinar and it gave me knowledge of things to what to improve.
The challengesI was challenged in delivering the instructions since it is through cyberspace. The barrier that could really affect the instructions is the speed of the internet.

    It builds my professional growth.
The good thingsCollecting evidences, writing letters, organizing an event for researches and meet / communicating with PhD, teachers from DepED and teachers from outside of the country and working under pressure. It really tests my patience and really trained me on how to deal with big events and big problems.
The challengeshmm, I think it's just I don't have any assistant to assist me in working those big stuffs in preparation for a big event. That's it.

    A life at XU
The good thingsWhen I was hired at XU, I was tasked to create a new and dynamic office with specific goals to attain. I was given a free hand in designing the details of the programs to suit the objective for the said office. It was cool...I achieved the objectives and great results just came out!
The challengesThe challenges in dealing with a premier learning institution, like XU, is that it's managers, deans and department heads, have already a comfort zone in doing their respective \"management \" style. Resistance to change to an uptodate ideas are oftentimes encountered.

    My Atenean Experience
The good thingsWhen I was working as an instructor in XU, I felt taken cared of, especially in the financial aspect. The admin didnt skimp on the benefits we employees deserve. And we received a lot of enhancements for our line of work, from retreats to seminars and then to team building sessions.
The challengesSpecifically in our department, better (and fairer) methods of evaluation should have been done instead of relying heavily on peer evaluations.
