It was OK not WOW, nor YIKES.The good thingsThe opportunities for growth in the company is great, you will gain lots of experience generally on how gaming industries work.
- WORK GROWTH OPPORTUNITY -
As for my experience I have been "promoted" from Games Operation Staff to Game Planning and Development in just over a year, keep in mind as I already have experience in game development so the transition would be logical and perhaps fast.
What I'm pointing out is given you have the proper skills it will be acknowledged by the company and you may find yourself in the position you initially wanted in a relatively short amount of time.
-SALARY-
Salary is also a good thing keeping in mind that you will be given opportunities to have paid OT's almost every other week, as long as you have the physique to keep up, sure the base could be lower than your expectations but you can still gain more if you're hardworking.
- WORK FAMILY MEMBERS -
They are good, mostly, some of them are your typical work colleagues.
I cant say much about the other counterparts (globally) but the PH staff is generally laid back and chill.
The challengesConsidering you work within the game and it's audiences (Mainly NA/EU), you are required to have OT's that are in most cases inconvenient time slots.
You'd also face a lot of challenges in communicating with other employees across the globe, which translates to slower and inefficient work flow.
The margin for error in some degree would sometimes make or break the employee as minor to major decisions in handling the game will heavily impact the performance either in player base or be it sales.
