This is done through courses and tutorials, and by regularly sending them to trips to other Ubisoft studios:Since 2016, the studio has sent out over 40 people for a total of 3,800 man hours to Paris, Montreal, Toronto, Montpellier, Bordeaux, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Singapore, and Chengdu.Experts from Paris, Montreal, Toronto, Quebec, San Francisco, Singapore, Chengdu, Shanghai, and other Ubisoft studios around the world visit regularly to train our developers. To date, over 70 experts have flown in, holding over 9,200 man hours of training.The team benefits from sharing sessions within the Ubisoft group, and learn from the best, creating a virtuous cycle of learning.In addition to trainings, the studio offers a world-class working environment with a 2,000 square meter building featuring 17 meeting rooms, 6 creative breakout spaces, a ping-pong area, game stations, and a dedicated roof deck for barbecues and events. This facilitates collaboration, open communication, and fun.GROWING THE ECOSYSTEMUbisoft holds free game development and career talks, art demos, and even conducts portfolio reviews to help aspiring game developers hone their skills.Every year, the studio meets over 900 students and professionals in events alone. Some notable events Ubisoft participates in include:• ESGS (E-sports and Gaming Summit), the biggest annual game summit held in South East Asia, with over 10,000 people attending this two-day event.• Global Game Jam where 28 groups participated and created games based on the theme “Home.” The Global Game Jam® (GGJ) is the world's largest game jam event.• One Shot in Asia Pop Comic Con to judge aspiring game developers’ pitches.Moreover, Ubisoft is present in career fairs and school events in De La Salle University, College of St. Benilde, Ateneo De Naga University, Asia Pacific College, iAcademy, First Academy of Computer Arts, Far Eastern University and more.PARTNERSHIPSUbisoft has an ongoing partnership with De La Salle University (DLSU), a university founded in France and a leading educational institution in the Philippines. The studio’s goal is to train the game developers of the future.DLSU has developed the following courses where Ubisoft’s own developers also teach:Bachelor of Science in Interactive Entertainment major in Game Art and Design;Bachelor of Science in Interactive Entertainment major in Game DevelopmentUbisoft and DLSU organized a 5-day workshop that gave students a crash course on game development, enabling them to create their own game by the end of the 5 days. Ubisoft continues to participate in the academe’s different events.CSRUbisoft has also partnered with Passerelles Numériques (PN), a French NGO created in 2005 and operating in Cambodia, the Philippines and Vietnam. PN enables young underprivileged people to build their employability through education in the digital industry. Ubisoft Philippines sponsored 10 students’ 3-year schooling and on-the-job program, who graduated in July 2019.
