My experience allowed me to build resilience and adapt to a fast-paced, challenging work environment, despite the lack of clear direction and support. The good thingsWhile the environment was challenging, it did push me to develop resilience and improve my problem-solving skills. The experience allowed me to work with a diverse team, which helped me learn how to adapt to different working styles and handle difficult situations more effectively.
The challengesIn just my first month, I experienced the extreme micromanagement of our IT boss. He constantly demanded project updates without any clear idea of what he wanted. No deadlines were given, yet he expected everything to be finished quickly, despite providing no clear instructions. To make it worse, he often spoke badly about team members, cursing loudly as early as the morning. It created a toxic, mentally draining environment where the lack of direction, constant pressure, and negativity made it impossible to stay motivated or productive.
