The Sunrise Hill Therapeutic Community (SHTC) is an acute and chronic psychiatric care facility duly accredited by the Department of Health. It was founded in 1982 by Dr. Leonardo Bascara , one of the pioneers in the practice of Psychiatry in the Philippines, with the purpose of providing good quality mental health care for psychiatric patients, their relatives and caregivers. It has an Out Patient Unit and an Inpatient Unit numbering 25 beds. There is a high staff-to-patient-ratio which ensures proper patient care.
