SWS has an international network of manufacturing facilities and offices in more than 30 countries to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve globalization of wire harness as its customers expand into global markets and the businesses of its overseas customers grow.HistorySAT-A is owned 99.99% by Sumitomo Wiring Systems, Ltd. (SWS) in Japan. SWS is a Japanese corporation originally formed in 1917, with automotive wiring harnesses and components as its primary product line. SWS operates not only in Japan but also globally through more than a hundred subsidiaries and affiliates in many different countries: Canada, U.S.A., Mexico, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Germany, Hungary, Poland, China, India, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines. As a part of its global business plan, SWS has manufacturing companies in many countries throughout the world and SWS has determined that it will also form separate companies in various countries to perform design work for its manufacturing companies.
