This company has been a complete disappointment.
The good thingsThere are no positives to speak of
The challengesThis has been the worst company experience I have ever had. The treatment is inconsiderate, unfair, and they show no regard for their employees. I want to share my experience during my probationary period, as I feel it’s important for prospective employees to be aware of the challenges that may arise if they decide to join this company. Unrealistic Expectations from the Start From day one, the company’s approach was extremely unfair. Your performance score is based solely on the first three months, without any consideration of the unique challenges you might face during this time. First Month:
During my first month, I was placed into production without any proper support. My team consisted of other new hires, and there was no one to guide us. Despite this lack of support, there was an immediate expectation to meet performance targets, even though we had no chance to learn or adapt. Second Month:
In the second month, the company transitioned me to a more complex task (EDD), which had been handled by a senior and specialized team. This was a significant step up, and I had no real support to take on this responsibility. As a new employee, how was I supposed to manage a complex task like this without even being fully familiar with the basic duties? Yet again, the expectation was to hit performance targets immediately. Third Month:
By the third month, the company assigned me tasks that were not even covered during training, expecting me to figure things out on my own. They placed additional pressure on me to perform flawlessly, without giving me the necessary resources or support to succeed. Lack of Empathy for Personal Circumstances To make matters worse, the company shows no understanding when employees face genuine personal challenges. For instance, during a typhoon, when we couldn’t make it to work due to severe weather conditions, we was threatened with a Notice to Explain (NTE) for not attending. Despite the situation being covered widely in the news, and even though we informed them through the proper channels about my inability to report due to the storm, they demanded unnecessary proof (like photos or videos) to justify our absence. This is not only unreasonable but also disrespectful of employees’ circumstances.

Salary is good, the job is ok, but management is hell
The good thingsHigh paying salary, good location.
The challengesPoor management, cost-cutting, and no job stability. Senior managers are power trippers and will only focus on making themselves look good with on-shore partners and will throw every associate under the bus when things go wrong.

    People-centric Culture, Great Colleagues
The good thingsThe company is values-driven and people-centric. It's empathetic and cares for its employees. Great pandemic response. This company supports its employees amid the pandemic. It's fast-growing despite the pandemic as it's a financial technology company. This gives its employees more job stability compared to other companies
The challengesIt's a relatively new company and processes are still developing, though this could also be viewed as an opportunity for employees to make their mark and be part of the company's history.

They don't care about your health. Even if you were advised by your Doctor to go on medication, your manager will still force you to report to work.
The good thingsTheir salary package is very competitive, the company is great, however, they don’t tend to have any interest in how their people are feeling, you will definitely leave this company because of bad management.
The challengesRemitly is a good company, it's just that they have very bad management.

Fast growing company with a great working environment
The good thingsEveryone treats each other nicely as If you've known them for a long time. Even the bosses are nice and friendly that you won't be afraid to start a simple conversation The place isn't so big and posh but it's better now compared a year ago since we have our own pantry, clinic, big training rooms, lounge.
The challengesAllotting adequate time and effort to ensure that all parties from the Business Support Group to the Operations are well-taught, calibrated, organized and comfortable with a major change/decision in the business prior to enforcing it. The continuous opportunity is great but is useless If the support is weak. A successful and lasting business banks not only on its expansion but more importantly on its employees.

    Awesome!
The good thingsI love working with people in my team. I love working with my TL where I always get a support from her even though she is no longer my TL she would still push and support me with my career objectives. I love the environment!
The challengesThe current of schedule, for which I am constantly pushing to be changed for a better team performance. Having fixed schedules will give each team an opportunity to conduct pre and post shift huddles that will help a team strategise for the whole shift in managing their tasks.
