    okay, but there is still room for improvements
    The good thingscompany provides free lunch during work from office days. the hybrid working setup is amazing for work and life balance. got the chance to work with an amazing team and colleagues.
    The challengessalary is off market rate, no raises and bonuses. senior leadership is extremely hands-on to the point of micromanagement. established escalation processes are bypassed, which undermines leadership layers and creates unnecessary operational friction. watching senior leadership get involved in micromanaging jira tickets rather than driving company growth is both surprising and concerning.

    Challenging yet rewarding experience that pushed me to grow fast as a Product Owner
    The good thingsWorking at Paynamics gave me end-to-end exposure to real product ownership from gathering requirements, creating story cards, and managing sprints, to collaborating directly with clients and developers. I enjoyed how fast-paced and dynamic the fintech environment is. It really sharpened my analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. The trust and autonomy I was given helped me learn quickly and take ownership of critical projects.
    The challengesSince I came from a non-IT background, I initially struggled with the technical side of the role and had to learn many concepts on the fly. Our department is also relatively new, so some processes are still being refined, and communication with other teams can be challenging as they’re still transitioning and adapting to the new agile methodology. Despite these hurdles, it has been a valuable learning experience that helped me grow both technically and professionally.

    The good thingsPaynamics is a great place to work at, it’s really the people and the culture that make the experience meaningful. The management is also very generous, offering competitive benefits that truly support employees. The hybrid setup provides flexibility, allowing for better work-life balance. I’ve started as an intern back in September 2024, and now, being part of the team, I can confidently say that Paynamics has fostered my growth both personally and professionally. From day one, I felt welcomed and supported, and I was given opportunities to learn, contribute, and be challenged. What stands out the most is the collaborative environment where everyone is encouraged to share ideas, innovate, and support one another.
    The challengesIf I were to mention a “con,” it would simply be that Makati is quite far from home, hahaha. But even that is outweighed by the positive experience of working here.
