Supportive colleagues but limited career growth and leadership issues
The good thingsSupportive and friendly coworkers who are always willing to help out, especially when work gets busy. Great bonds were built, and real friendships were formed along the way.
The challengesWhile the workload and environment are not entirely fast-paced, some management decisions tend to feel more personal than professional. Supervisors are not always open to honest conversations when issues or conflicts arise, and these concerns are often left unresolved. This leads to ongoing internal problems and low employee morale. Favoritism is also evident, and opportunities for growth within the department are limited. At times, policies are bypassed, which can be frustrating for employees who value honesty, transparency, and professionalism.

Supportive coworkers, but research ethics and leadership integrity are major concerns.
The good thingsOverall, the most positive aspect of my position is the people I work with. My coworkers are supportive, collaborative, and genuinely committed to their roles, which makes the day-to-day work manageable and, at times, fulfilling. The sense of camaraderie and mutual help among colleagues is the strongest reason to stay.
The challengesHowever, there are significant concerns regarding the integrity of research and administrative practices. Research outputs are sometimes manipulated, with authorship being added primarily to satisfy administrative requirements or to support autonomous positions across different campuses. This practice undermines the credibility of the work and raises ethical concerns. Additionally, leadership prioritizes recognition and accolades over transparency and academic integrity. Decisions appear to be driven more by the pursuit of awards and prestige than by genuine merit or ethical standards, which can be discouraging for staff who value honesty and professionalism.

This company provides a comprehensive challenge, engaging you on mental, emotional, and financial fronts.
The good thingsThe task becomes seamless thanks to the mutual support among colleagues.
The challengesThe department head's decisions often seem driven by personal sentiment rather than objective evaluation. There's a pervasive pressure to manipulate and distort results just to garner approval from higher-ups.

The remuneration is not worth the toxicity in the workplace.
The good thingsI appreciate that their LMS is organized and that materials are already prepared for teachers.
The challengesThe dean and department heads are cutting-edge and unbecoming. Your insights are disregarded and your experience is discounted.

    Head of department

Valenzuela City Metro Manila1 to 2 years in the role, current employee
Working in this company is a great learning experience.
The good thingsThe management fully supports the growth and development of its employees. Tasks are often challenging but it brings out the best in every one and both the company and the employees benefit from these challenges. Opportunities for growth are present.
The challengesAdditional support staff is needed so that department heads can avoid multi tasking and focus more on high impact activities. The number of meetings must also be lessened as it counter productive. Some announcements could be coursed through emails or memos.
