Madalag is one of the seventeen towns of the Province of Aklan and the second largest municipality of the province located in the interior and mountainous portion in the south. It lays some 32 kms. South of Kalibo, the provincial capital and is approximately 1 ½ hour ride via Malinao route, while it takes only 30 to 40 minute ride via Banga passing the newly built Razon – Tumbocon – Haresco - Guadalupe Bridge. It is bounded in the north by the municipality of Malinao; on the northeast by Banga and Balete; on the east and southeast by Libacao; on the east and southwest by Antique; and on the west by Ibajay. To the west are the Madya-as and Tactacan Mountain ranges which roughly stand from the boundary between Madalag and the province of Antique.Madalag is a town full of promise.
