I had reservations being a bank personnel that time as I was still considering foreign affairs service, to be a statesman assigned abroad.
Yet during my early years, I saw how colleagues were at each other; the workplace chemistry & environment were easily felt - older ones showed me the ropes, unselfishly mentored & guided me on my tasks, responsibilities & overall function; shared their stories & experiences. Other ones stretched their friendships outside work walls and some became real friends. These factors eventually led to -my decision to stay put.
As credit evaluator, it has shown me a clearer picture of banks` purpose and socio-economic roles as financial institutions, and how its part affects a country and its population. The periodic trainings & seminars ensure that policies are updated & enforced, and workforce purposed & empowered.
