Positive experience but with lapsesThe good thingsAs a fresh graduate joining MediLink, I had a difficult time in the beginning but of course, the eagerness to learn the workarounds was there. Eventually, when I was able to master it, I began to notice some lapses. Now, I’m close to celebrating my second year with the company and this is what I can say about MediLink.
I expected to have mentoring. I really looked forward to have someone guide me since I was a fresh graduate who wanted to learn a lot. Despite not having a mentor, that lapse became a blessing in disguise because I learned how to be resourceful. I had to learn it on my own: developing my decision-making skills, etc. Everytime I had a question, I could't always ask my boss so I had to decide on my own.
At the same time, MediLink made me feel like I could explore when it came to my roles. I was not boxed to just one role. In the beginning there were crafted tasks given to me but it was still positive because I began to learn other things that were not necessarily part of my job description. That's how my ability to go beyond was tested.
Socially, I have no comment because everyone here is really reliable. In terms of work, people really work.
The challengesIf I should point out any downsides, it is that I expected a systematic and organized process because that is what I was used to so in the beginning, I was really rattled. The processes were not fixed so I didn't have any choice but to adjust. When it came to the expectations in the responsibilities, at some point, there was no clear advise or information.
