Unprofessional Manager and Toxic EnvironmentThe good thingsI have spent almost two years with this company, but unfortunately, I did not enjoy my experience here, especially within the accounting department. The work environment was not healthy or motivating. The manager often acted unprofessionally and showed clear favoritism. She would overlook mistakes made by her preferred staff, yet she would quickly criticize or penalize others for even minor issues.
What’s more disappointing is that some employees were placed under an EIP (Employee Improvement Plan) without proper justification or valid feedback. It felt unfair and discouraging, especially when there was no solid basis for such actions.
The challengesI believe that supervisors and managers should also be evaluated. Some of them are the main source of unfair treatment toward their staff, and this behavior directly affects employee morale. The management should recognize that this kind of leadership is one of the reasons why many employees choose to resign.
