iPrudential Stevedoring and Port Services, Inc. (ISPSI) is a new corporation, organized underPhilippine laws and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) August 19, 2011.ISPSI was established born out of necessity under its mother unit/organization, the Prudential Customs Brokerage Services, Inc. (PCBSI). Originally, stevedoring services at the private ports were handled under the Arrastre Stevedoring Department of PCBSI.Due to the increasing number of government ports that PCBSI is under contract with the Philippine Ports Authority to provide cargo handling services, there emerged the need for a separate unit/organization to specifically manage the provision of stevedoring services in all the private ports that PCBSI was contracted to handle. Hence, IPSPSI took over from PCBSI all its service contracts at the private ports being operated.
