Upper management is most of the time inconsiderate of their employees.
The good thingsBase salary is higher than teaching jobs. The job will push you out of your comfort zone.
The challengesManagement gives too much assignments / workload to their people, and there's almost always something to be submitted / accomplished that wasn't given ahead of time. Always focused on making money, but skimps on spending for the welfare of their employees. DOES NOT HAVE EVALUATION FOR SUPERVISORS, so there is no way to audit how the district managers are handling their people. Full trust is given to the sales people, but not to the teachers who are part of the after sales services.

The ups & downs of being an IT Head in Grolier International Inc
The good thingsEarly part of my career with Grolier allows me to be pro-active, may boss is very supportive of me and I was even sent to multiple trainings (MCITP, Sybase) and I can attend seminars in 5-start hotels if I wanted to.
The challengesLater part of my career I was no longer involved in the ERP project coz during that time they're changing the ACCPAC accounting system into Netsuite (Web-based). Also getting a budget approval during those time is a challenge.

Very Challenging work and yet fun and exciting.
The good thingsGood team relationship and the management support is visible. high commissions and incentives.. agents are acknowledge in their performances especially when they hit the monthly sales target. very accommodating and a very pro-agent company with a Big heart for the imployee.
The challengesThe only challenging part in this kind of job is that you don't actually assure if you will get a client for a day today activity. and the most challenging here is to encounter a very negative client and worst of it is to argue to them.! cancellations of orders during the delivery are most discouraging situation of being an Sales Agent. but in the positive side it make you strong once you become immune to it. Patience and Determination is the key to success of an Sales agent.

    Educational Tools help child's development
The good thingsI'm basically an amiable person who follows the notion of live and let others live. This attitude of mine gives me the qualities of being perseverance at work, exploring new and dynamic changes at work place. The educational tools that we encourage to parents to own one are very helpful during the early years of the child's development.
The challengesI'm a good listener when it comes to problem situation time. I am able to come up with new ideas which can solve a problem that my colleague opened up to me like problem to my other colleague.During my stay in this company, I manage to work in a team. Setting our goals and individual efforts make the team become successful.
