Office PoliticsThe good thingsThe people you work with. Since this is a gaming company, you get to meet people who like games as much as you. The 4 days on and 3 days off schedule is good, especially if you're lucky enough to be placed in a weekday, that way you get weekends off. I was actually lucky enough to be considered for a senior game operations specialist position, despite being in the company for less than a year.
The challengesThe 12-hour shift is a bit of a difficult transition from a typical 9-hour job, especially when you're in the night shift. Sometimes the workload feels too much and the salary too little. As I mentioned, I was considered for a senior position and underwent trial. This process is somewhat demanding, with your weekends being taken over when they need to call you to do something even on your days off. This in particular is bothersome since you don't get a salary increase during this period just yet. Most notable of the negative experience I had with the company is that office politics is too much here. Agents' appeals are rarely taken seriously by managers.
