Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital was established on December 30, 1916. It is located in Dapitan city, Zamboanga del Norte. Per Republic Act 8200, it’s Authorized Bed Capacity is 200 beds level I. Presently, DJRMH has an Implementing Bed Capacity of 130 categorized as 1st level, General Hospital per Licensed to Operate issued by the Department of Health.As the only DOH-retained hospital in Zamboanga del Norte, DJRMH was certified as ISO 9001:2008 in 2016 and re-certified as ISO 9001:2015 in 2018. Geared towards developing to a level 2 hospital, the institution has now established five (5) Clinical Departments namely; Pediatrics, Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology and Anesthesiology. With its endeavor to meet the growing healthcare needs of its catchment area, the current hospital management and its dedicated workforce commit to upgrade its services and further improve its culture of good governance by espousing the Performance Governance System (PGS). True to its mandate, DJRMH has now established two (2) Residency Training Program in OB-GYN and Family Medicine.Presently, DJRMH has a total of 443 work force distributed in the three (3) Divisions, namely; Medical/Ancillary Service, Nursing Service and the Hospital Operation and Patient Support Services or the HOPSS.
