Nature-friendly working environment with awesome colleagues and unforgettable experiencesThe good thingsDepartment of Science and Technology is my second home since 2016 since I've done my internship at DOST - Internal Audit Service. Then I've graduated at 2017, I was able to apply and work at DOST - Science Education Institute. Working at DOST feels like you are so close to nature, since you've got to relax and breathe the fresh air coming from the trees and plants that are around the complex when you go outside of your office (My plantito self is shaking haha). Aside from that, DOST has provided me with enough resources such as Laptop, Camera, and Softwares that are needed for my job as a Multimedia Artist. I've also got the chance to travel at the different provinces in our country to disseminate information about S&T and to promote the DOST Scholarship. Overall, I'll definitely recommend working at the Department of Science and Technology. If you are a fresh grad or an experienced employee. I'm pretty sure you will love working at DOST. With them, I was able to hone my creative & decision-making skills and work with colleagues that support and treat you as a family.
The challengesThe only downside on working at a government agency is I didn't get a chance to be promoted as a regular employee and there are no benefits, perks and trainings for contractuals.
