You will grow, if you want to grow
The good thingsDuring my stay.. I love my department, they train people and make things easier for newbies. The management is responsible and very hardworking. The system I used to handle/use were good enough for me to work well. The management and the people are approachable and treated you as a family. They have training guides, have example scenarios and effective tools to conduct testing.
The challengesSince the department is so pro-active and think ahead among the others, most people misunderstood the goal or the actions. If you can't cope up, you'll be burned out.

The good thingsLocal managers in PH are really good, and can coach you according to the areas you need improvement on.
The challengesManaging tough clients, since CWT handles the fortune 500 companies, customer satisfaction is key to every project delivery that we worked on. You need to find the sweet spot of every clients and provide a good quality software to make them happy :)

Nice at first but hard to stay
The good thingsCompany Benefits, Exposure to learning
The challengesTeam culture seems to be default PH company meaning there is too much politics. if you aren't in good terms with your team, you are definitely on your own. Hard to implement WFH terms before pandemic happened. Power tripping of management and slow action of HR/Management on terms regarding .

The good thingsI enjoyed it at first, most specially bond I have created with my colleagues.

young company in PH, traditional behavior company
The good thingsnow includes retirement on its benefits, as opposed when it started. diverse working environment, if you are looking for exposure on different cultures. gives Christmas incentives (but not as big as you think, just enough for a Christmas eve dinner)
The challengestraditional company which is sort of like a clock-in clock-out, even for the IT people which doesn't have the flexibility as compared to other companies. doesn't allow work from home even if you are not a client-facing team. takes a lot of time to promote employees. self-learning regarding on work, not much of assistance from your peers (got an issue? you are on your own).

Was wonderful in the beginning but...
The good thingsThe employers just don't look at the applicant's intellect, but onto the attitude and skills as well. I am a decent performer (software engineer) and I can say I'm not the brightest one, but I am grateful to be accepted and be part of the CWT family. I experienced hopping on multiple locations, but doesn't matter that much because the work environment itself was fine. The projects I had in the beginning were awesome, as it fits my experience well. Feels like I was born out of college to enhance the acquired skills for this company.
The challengesWas wonderful here in the beginning but it's terrible now. There are somewhat chaos in terms of building solutions/apps in one of the projects. There was a wasted phase that a project was shutdown for some reason. And suddenly in the solutions group, there was a change of technology to use for one project. The new technology was not developer-friendly, it only fits those who just want to encode --- not for your average (or hardcore) traditional programmers. I believe it was not consulted with their in-house technology team, especially the solutions architects. It could have been undertaken through a feasibility study. This technology change is the primary reason for employee disengagement, especially for those programmers assigned to that project.
