What’s it like working at Colegio San Agustin?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at Colegio San Agustin appreciate the support for professional development, such as funding for seminars, workshops, and postgraduate studies, as well as benefits like healthcare coverage and monetary benefits for employees' children's education. The community and culture foster camaraderie, friendship, and a nurturing environment, with supportive and nurturing management, particularly from the Augustinian Fathers.

However, there are some potential challenges, such as a heavy workload, particularly for administrative staff and new teachers, and limited opportunities for career growth for administrative staff and some faculty coordinators. Improvement is also needed in the disciplinary procedures for new teachers and non-permanent staff. Additionally, the location and traffic congestion around the school can be challenging.

Go if you want to glam up your resume
The good thingsFriendship and camaraderie Experience Benefits and salary Support for professional development (e.g., graduate studies, seminars) Some understanding and nurturing colleagues and admin
The challengesEarn as much as you can because you'll have a hard time working in your professional development. Don't stay that long. Only those in the higher position can avail study leaves that last for a year or so. Improvement on some lay admin who need to brush up their ways of disciplining esp new teachers or those who are not permanent. They just say to let things pass without doing something about a concern or matter. Some go permanent without knowing their infractions and doing something about it. Workload. You work to maximize the salary for all its worth.

No Regrets Working for CSA, No Regrets Gaining a Family
The good thingsI enjoyed the culture where the management fosters camaraderie between colleagues, encourages employee events (annual retreat, Friendship Day, etc). Salary is not that competitive but enough for the workload that you get on a daily basis and you get to have monetary benefits (educational benefit for Faculty Members and for employees’ kid/s). The Augustinian Fathers are quite nurturing.
The challengesLimited career growth for Admin Staff and some Faculty Coordinators tend to give you unnecessary workload which they can do themselves. Salary increase aren’t much either for Admin/Maintenance Staff as they are for Faculty Members.
