Toxic Management (RETAIL) No care for employees even your sick they will force you to work and no freedom. Parents not allowed in HMO as benificiary if you are single. NO FREEDOM.

Working in Citi was only bearable because of the kind, fun, and understanding colleagues but apart from that aspect, everything else is challenging.
The good thingsPeople are mostly nice. There is equal opportunity for everyone. There are monthly one on ones with your manager to check up on performance and career goals.
The challengesWork is toxic and work-life balance is poor. Personal and family time (hours outside shift, holidays, and weekends) is sacrificed a lot. Management turnaround is slow whenever we ask for help in terms of addressing workload, headcount, and whatnot. Low headcount with high workload = less chances to take leaves and unused leaves are not convertible to cash and will only be forfeited. Personal leaves can only be used for emergencies and not for actual personal commitments. Parents can't be added as dependents to HMO.

A great company for working experience and career development
The good thingsI was hired for the position of Data Analyst with zero experience, but my mentor and supervisors were very keen on teaching me about the job that we do. Definitely improved my skills on a higher level.
The challengesWorking on graveyard shift is normally challenging for most of us. it took me a few months to adjust physically and mentally.

Customer service has been my greatest attribute.
The good thingsI was able to exercise my leadership skills in coaching the new hires. I am very flexible and quick to learn to do the best work.
The challengesAfter pandemic, we were advised to go back to site however our monthly incentives was gone, including our overtime, and there is no option to work from home still. Company should have at least created an action plan on how employees can sustain the life in Manila if they need to spend extra for monthly rentals and high fare or gas for transportation.

Good, but employee management is not.
The good thingsCompensation and employee benefits are nice.
The challengesLack of respect for employees' time past working hours. Unreliable management that results to problems being shouldered by the employees themselves.

The good thingsGood working environment and culture. Opportunity for career growth. Leaders are very supportive and approachable.
The challengesLocation of the office is quite far from my home but Citi has an option of working from home or flexible work hours.
