Working for Citibank was an amazing learning experience. Since I left Citibank, it has been my benchmark for best practices; not just within the banking industry but for other industries I have had the privilege of working in.The good thingsThere is no "office politics" or palakasan in Citibank. As soon as you start working for the company, you are given KPIs where your rating as probationary employee will be based. For regular employees, KPIs for the following year are given in December. It's either you hit your targets, miss them, or exceed expectations.
Employees actually work together and help each other out. Our individual year end goals are interconnected and we understood that fact.
Generally, the people managers in Citibank have good (and friendly) relationships with their team members.
This company helped me enrich skills that I already have, acquire new skills and gave me opportunities to widen my perspective about the banking and financial services industry. They empower their employees to grow professionally.
The challengesI felt that, given my work load, I should have been paid more.
