The management should address the growing unfair culture and hire competitive, seasoned leaders who demonstrate empathy, fairness, and professionalism.
The good thingsCitco offers a flexible work setup, which is great for maintaining work-life balance. I’ve enjoyed the free coffee and juices in the office, and the location is very convenient and accessible to everything.
The challengesThis is alarming, employees do not feel safe due to biased treatment. HR tends to show favoritism depending on your role. Bias treatment and office politics are very rampant. I am deeply disappointed that a leader could tell you directly, in front of HR: “Di ka nararapat sa ganitong kompanya, dapat sa’yo sa local lang, ‘yong mga nasa bukid-bukid or literal na probinsya.” It is extremely frustrating to hear such strong words, especially when HR did nothing to address them. Ageism is also widespread. It seems acceptable for some in senior positions to say things like: “Ikaw naman ang pinakamatanda at ikaw ang mag-adjust; ibang henerasyon sila at iba ang pagpapalaki ng magulang mo sa’yo at sa kanila.” I pursued the opportunity to join the reputable Citco company for several years. However, I am greatly disappointed by the bias, favoritism, and unfair culture I have experienced here.

Great opportunity for single status inviduals because no work-life-balance here. Very challenging work because you do it on your own. Not enough guidance or no buddy system.
    The good thingsGood compensation package
The challenges12 to 16hrs daily shift. Zero Work Life Balance. Managers doesnt teach the process

Makati City Metro Manila-1 to 0 years in the role, current employee
Manual workings diminishes productivity, unfair salary discrepancies, unorganized work distribution
The good thingsCompensation is okay but you’ll be surprised between the discrepancies of gross pay even though you have the same role and responsibilities. It would have been okay if it’s a single digit percentage but I have compared my salary with others and they are already earning 20% higher than I am.
The challengesCompany device - slow Too much restrictions - you can’t even send your own COE to your personal email address without the managers seeing it Manual recording - diminishes productivity No growth - repetitive Career progression is slow New department - everything is messy - work distrib is messy

Management Focuses Only on Tactical Approach
The good thingsEverything decision is only a quick fix. Overall, managers are not well equipped to manage teams.
The challengesOffice politics is very prevalent. Promotion is not based on performance but tenure. Management still expects managers to do processing work instead of managing team and workload. External managers don't stand a chance since they did not grow from the grassroots.
