The company as single proprietor started with 5 pairs of orthopedic shoe uppers production in a week. There were 5 personnel employed in the beginning of the company. The trainings and education provided by the couple in this field of making orthopedic shoes to Filipino employees gradually increased the production and eventually achieved the standard quality required by the orthopedic shoe companies in the Netherland. The couple with their knowledge, skills and experience being a former Head of the Quality Staff of a leading International Lingerie Company and Dutch License Orthopedic Shoe Technician led to the success of the company.The rapid growth of production and their vision to produce complete orthopedic shoe led the Company to be Incorporated under Bloom Orthopedic Shoe Export (BOS), Inc. last December 2004, with manpower headcount of 50 employees. In 2005, Bloom Orthopedic Shoe Export partnered with PBF Orthopedic Footwear wherein one of the Directors was Ivo Franssen who was also the Director of Penders, one of the leading Orthopedic Shoe Companies in Netherland.In 2008, the building area was expanded to 2,000 square meters to accommodate a bigger office and production facility and by the year 2009, BOS reached a milestone in its production with more than 17,000 pairs of complete orthopaedic shoes production for the year.In 2010, PBF Orthopedic Footwear further acquired 97% shares of BOS and was able to expand market reach in Europe, Australia and Canada. It was also in 2010 that Choose your shoes NL was established and it acquired PBF NL and its production facility in the Philippines. By the last quarter of 2010, Chooseyourshoes Philippines (CYS-PH), Inc. was established and was incorporated. By the end of 2010, the company reached another milestone when it was able to hit production capacity of 22,000 pairs of complete orthopaedic shoes. Total number of employees grew to more than 200.Another important highlight of 2010, the company passed the stringent audit of TUV and successfully gained Quality Management Certification. The company was granted ISO 9001:2008- Quality Management System and EN ISO 13485 - Quality Management Standard for Medical Devices certifications, further proving the world-class quality production and system of the company.By the end of March 2011, BOS ceased its operation in Punturin, Valenzuela. Chooseyourshoes Philippines (CYS-PH) acquired and took over the production facility of BOS and established itself in its newly renovated 5,000 square meters building facility in Pulilan, Bulacan. At present, CYS-PH consistently maintained its production capacity of at least 2,000 pairs of complete orthopaedic shoes per month, making CYS-PH the largest orthopaedic shoes producer in the world in terms of quantity.The company manufactures and exports orthopedic shoe upperparts (without sole) and orthopedic complete shoe (with sole and completely finished).
