CARGOMARINE CORPORATION is a Philippine corporation founded in 1960 by Jose M. Reyes and Bienvenido L. Lim where they started as ship managers, ship building consultants, shipbrokers and ship agents. The early years were devoted to naval architecture, marine engineering and ocean transport system economies.In 1975, CARGOMARINE CORPORATION, as owners of LPG carriers fully managed by RLC CARGOMARINE acquired initially the LPG tankers Alkane, Butane and Banak follwed by the LPG carrier Biya which started on coa to Petron in 1990. In 1999, the company launched its 3,500 cbm newbuilding, the LPG carrier Bangos that started a period charter to Shell on the same year.Under new management control in November 2008 by Mr. Oscar B. Saavedra, CARGOMARINE CORPORATION assumed the full owning and ship management from RLC. The Bisugo, Bacalaw and Banak are continously chartered by Petron. A product/oil/chemical tanker FS 1 was added to the fleet in September 5, 2010 and chemical tanker FS2 in February 2012. FS2 is under time charter with Pilipinas Kao, Inc. up to July of 2015.CARGOMARINE technical staff consists of managers and engineers trained and experienced in vessels of all sizes and trades, from tankers to bulk carriers.In October 2011, CMC was issued a Document of Compliance (ISM) by the Maritime Industry Authority in compliance with MARINA MC 142 IMO's International Safety Management Code.
