Average salary, good work life balance
The good thingsLax environment, good work life balance
The challengesVery slow paced. 3-5% increase per year depending on performance and no ad hoc increase allowed. Transferring to a same level in different dept has no increase. AI Dept rollout in PH does not fit to production standards and not practical, looks like a hobby

Where Careers Go to Die 💀
The good thingsIf your career ambitions are dead, and you just need a salary to survive, this company will take you. Otherwise, steer clear.
The challengesThe Manila office claims to have management, but they clearly have zero clue how to help anyone grow. Maybe the UK higher-ups have a plan, but if they do, the Manila "leads" are too incompetent to ever make it happen or even explain it.

A supportive and inclusive workplace that values transparency, work-life balance, mental health, and growth opportunities, fosters a healthy community where every voice is heard.
The good thingsA great workplace that offers true work-life balance. They are very considerate of everyone in the company and consistently check on our mental health and needs. You will truly appreciate the inclusivity, and there are plenty of opportunities within the organization. The community is healthy, and all our voices are heard.
The challengesLast year, we faced a significant challenge, and I believe they handled it very well. I’m happy that they were transparent about what was happening within the organization.

I'm only 1 year here at CUP&A but have enjoyed working with my colleagues. Looking forward to working with the organization for more years.
The good thingsGood working environment. Colleagues are very welcoming and easy to talk to. Good benefits and HMO. Encourage working at home.
The challengesWell generally, none so far. It varies for each team. As for my team, recently we had few organizational changes we had to adjust to new policies etc.

The experiences we’ve shared and the values we uphold are what makes CUP&A a special and great place.
The good thingsCelebrating my 10 years with CUP&A is more than a personal milestone; it’s a reflection of the incredible journey we’ve all shared. This journey has not always been easy, but it has been profoundly rewarding. We’ve faced challenges that have tested us, learned lessons that have shaped us, and celebrated successes that have united us. Working with colleagues here in Manila and across the UK has been a true privilege. Each project, each challenge, and each moment of laughter has contributed to a decade of success and joy.
The challengesThe cultural exchange and time zone challenges were hurdles, but they were also opportunities to forge strong international bonds. The projects that required coordination between Manila and UK. The calls, the shared laughter over virtual coffee breaks, and the collective effort to meet deadlines had created a sense of camaraderie that transcended borders.

I recommend this company. Very good culture except the pay. Hahaha
The good thingsThe good things are they practice work life balance. 7 hours work only. twice a month wfh. they have policy about EDIB Equality, Diverse, Inclusion and Belonging meaning people here are respectable. bonggang year end party
The challengesSweldo is not at par when it comes to industry. the salary grade should be scrapped and everybody should have salary increase. 13th month pay only while big companies have 14th-16th months. HMO sucks. Hindi nakakaCambridge ang branding. Promotion is very limited to none.

    Rewarding internship experience
The good thingsWork-life balance is practiced. Everyone is approachable, and collaboration is greatly valued. I was assigned to a wide variety of tasks and projects which helped me strengthen my design skills, from layout design to video production. CUP&A provides a great platform for interns to gain knowledge and experience from real-life projects and eventually help in figuring out their career path.
The challengesI didn't experience any major challenges. Depending on the role, the varying time zones can be a challenge.

A Great Place to Work, indeed.
The good thingsAchieving work-life balance here is a breeze! Despite my team being based in the UK, I've never felt left out. Our managers are incredibly supportive, always encouraging us to explore and expand our skills and knowledge. There's no micro-management; instead, we're trusted to know and own our responsibilities. Plus, being permanent from day one is a huge bonus. The batch induction process is also super helpful for making connections early on. And let's not forget about the vibrant diversity here—it's something I really appreciate!
The challengesThe allowances are a bit limited, so it's worth noting that this might not be the ideal setup for those who rely on bi-monthly salaries. Additionally, there's room for improvement with the HMO coverage.

    I am grateful that I found CUP&A.
The good thingsFor new hires, they are regularized on Day 1. This means also having HMO and professional development benefits among others.
The challengesThe usual adjustment when starting with a new employer. Though, it is definitely worth it.

Working with Cambridge is one of my most fulfilling career experience.
The good thingsOne of the good things that I like about Digital Services Cambridge Limited is the day 1 regularization.
The challengesNot all companies are perfect, and one of the challenges is the limited building parking slots.

This is definitely the workplace you're looking for if you value work-life balance. Absolutely a great place to work!
The good thingsWork-life balance is definitely a thing here.
The challengesInitial salary is competitive and annual increase will be given. However, increase is not that high from the expectation.

Great place to work, work culture and environment is okay. It's not perfect but it's a good place to learn and thrive just fix the contracts records and hmo partner.
The good thingsVery accepting regardless of credentials and experience. Hybrid and no mandatory rto. Pay is high but average when you less the tax and govt contributions. Squiggly career is encouraged and implemented.
The challengesThey have errors in their documentations of *Contract details including agreed basic pay* which is a red flag. Some tend too micromanage their teams. Most job opportunities are IT/CSR/HR specific. No night differential. HMO is difficult to contact and takes long to reimburse. Pay transparency could be better.

The workload is okay, the management and their initiatives can be enhanced, and as long as these improvements can be modified then we're good.
The good thingsLearning is free. They do have their own hub with thousands of courses that employees can take for free. It has a wide variety of topics but of course, most of them are related to business, leadership, and technical skills.
The challengesOnly one type of allowance is provided. So although the basic salary is high, take-home pay is average after all those deductions. The management can be improved. The bonus system is pro-management because of leveling. Their guidelines on some standard operating procedures are not that cohesive. There are initiatives on employee engagement but consistency cannot be maintained.

The good thingsI had fun and learned a lot at the same time as the people that I worked with are very welcoming and the things I did improved my skillsets and gave me confidence in pursuing my own venture.
The challengesI would not have any complaints as the team that I was a part of made better and learned a lot!

The best place to jumpstart your career
The good thingsOne of the best places to start with as a developer and software engineer and learn as an intern. You get to be involved in every step of the way with really good and very professional people. Plus it has allowance :D
The challengesNone. Maybe the onboarding took a while but that's more of a non-issue

    Exciting times for the company
The good things* It allows us to research, test, and present some new technologies (specifically frameworks) that we find useful for the project. * As a fresh graduate, it was easy to adapt to their tech stack and ways of working.
The challenges* Some of the processes can be a bit slow sometimes, especially reimbursement of medical expenses, however, it has improved over the past few weeks.

Career Development and True Work-Life Balance
The good thingsI love the work environment especially the team that I was assigned with. They are open to innovation and let you grow to its full potential. Salary is truly competitive. HMO at day 1. Lots of leave credits with VL cashbacks. Has annual increase yearly based on company performance and inflation rate. Has work life balance since they company has a 7-hour work shift instead of the usual 8 hours.
The challengesNone so far since I'm still new with the company. Still observing.

The good thingsCompetitive salary and benefits. Management encourages employee engagement after pandemic.
The challengesIn a span of less than 2 years, I had 3 Department Heads - all had left the organisation. Then now my manager is leaving, too. In the last 2 years, we acquired few additional countries - workload in our team is so overwhelming but we lack FTEs as we are not provided with additional headcount even though several request was raised. There's also no room for growth as we report to a UK Manager.

A good company as long as you work outside of Customer Services Department
The good thingsTravel to the UK, relaxed working environment (within my team).
The challengesManagement. Customer Services has its own policies not aligned with the company rules and regulation. Transparency. HR needs to step up their game in terms of advocating for its employees not just to cater the needs of "some managers". As far as I know, CUP stands for Cambridge University Press not Cristina University Press.

The good thingsFriendly people. Company activities such as basketball league.
The challengesNo standard when it comes to development. Process is all over the place. Old technology stack. Not open to ideas. You can't show your skill as a software engineer here. You can only follow what they told you to do and how to do it. Boring development experience
