    Micromanagement at its fullest
    The good thingsthe PH staffs are so helpful and kind. The seniors are sharing their experiences with the junior devs.
    The challengesMicromanagement from the HQ is all throughout the place. they dont accept ones suggestions. They dont care about the other branches welfare. They need to improve their management skills

    Good starting point, but not for long-term career building
    The good thingsChill work culture, fixed schedule, and approachable and talented people from both PH and KR. Best for fresh graduates seeking their first job. They will train you for 3 months and start with real work after.
    The challengesSalary is a bit low, and only with basic benefits. Technical growth is limited since most of the tech comes from KR and we only just develop web apps primarily. There are some language barriers but some KR counterparts can understand basic English.

    Great environment for a starter like me
    The good thingsI have learned a lot of fundamental things about web development. Co-workers and even the higher-ups are really approachable and friendly.
    The challengesThe amount of pressure coming from stakeholders/client. Product management on some projects is not great. This is dependent on the Product Manager. The job title for the developers is PHP Developer yet the tasks are mixed of front-end development, back-end development, and database designing.

    The good thingsI learned a lot from this company even for a short period of time. The entire process is great. Though my contract was terminated I am still happy and enjoyed my stay at simplex. The knowledge that I have gained from their training. Solid principles, handling vulnerability security protection, standard conventions, etc...
    The challengesThe sprints were challenging for me. We as an individual needs to constantly take challenges even if it's beyond our capacity. Other challenges are when your app suddenly breaks.

    The good thingsIt was a great experience working at simpleX. The tasks given to the SEO team are easy to manage - and it was a non-stressful environment. Employers are quite nice too and they are not too pushy when it comes to the projects - they let you work at it on your own pace.
    The challengesThe traffic going to the office (and going back home) can really stop you from being productive. Since SimpleX is located in the middle of the Ortigas Business Hub, you will often find yourself trapped in the middle of this busy hub when rush hour hits.

    The good thingsSalary was always promptly given. Benefits are also given accordingly. HR people were nice. This was closer to my residence than any other opportunities I had that time.
    The challengesThe company is very strict with attendance. You cannot be late for 1 minute or else it will end up in your evaluation record. They have custom frameworks that will be used for all projects you are going to do yet they do not have proper training for new hires. They expect you to learn the frameworks in days thru the materials they prepared which are really inadequate. You're not allowed to talk to other trainees, immediate seniors during the training period (work-related, training stuff), you do things on your own. No overtime pay.

    Helping You To Improve
    The good thingsThe company has good training materials but not better. You'll learn to develop and improve yourself because of their given coding conventions. The title doesn't fit as what we're doing because truthfully we're like full-stack developers.
    The challengesMust have advance fundamentals in web development in order to progress yourself successfully on the tasks. Strict on deadlines. Strict on tardiness. Strict and unwanted leave policies.
