A new business unit, MANILA WATER PHILIPPINE VENTURES (“MWPV”) was thus created to handle and oversee expansion projects outside the key metropolitan areas of the country. To date, MWPV now has existing water and wastewater service partnerships in Laguna, Boracay, and Clark. It has also entered into a joint investment agreement with the Provincial Government of Cebu (PGC) for the development and operation of the bulk water supply system in the city. A 10-year performance-based NRW reduction project has also been signed with the Zamboanga City Water District (ZCWD) which will enable ZCWD to serve the 40 percent waterless barangays in that city.Recently, MWPV signed a joint venture agreement with the Tagum City Water District (TCWD) for the operation of a bulk water supply project.
