The APMC standards in terms of property management is very good, but hopefully soon the BE/PE will be directly hired by APMC so the benefits being experienced by a PM will gain as well by the PE/BE.The good thingsYou will gain a lot of knowledge because you will be exposed on all aspect of the property management; Technical, Safety, Audits, Financial, Projects, ISO Documentation, Maintenance and Repair etc., Sometimes you will act as Property Manager. As an engineer you will be equipped with a lot of knowledge in terms of Technical & Safety.
The challengesAs building engineer, you will work 6 days a week and even during holidays and weekends, also not directly hired by APMC, BE/PE is under agency which giving low salary and problem with government mandated benefits.
