A different kind of experienceThe good thingsBeing a smaller company that i’ve worked for, especially compared to my previous experience, the hierarchy is different from what most people are used to. Communication is easier and more direct, since you’ll only get to encouter fewer people which supposedly means that its easier to get to the point or concern and directly with the person you have to. I was able to experience getting to work with the CEO and the Director and other different higher roles which is not something people usually experience and it’s a good form of learning/growth especially being able to get a glimpse of their perspective.
Pre- pandemic, it felt quite rewarding to work for the visa industry.
The challengesIt’s not the usual kind of workplace or rather not up to just anybody’s preference, given that, a lot of people came and go and it became challenging to have to readjust to that especially with the work load.
There was constant restructuring due to this and having to adjust and taking responsibility for a lot of workload became difficult.
The pandemic affected the travel industry and even economy therefore made the job more difficult back then especially since it heavily relied on being able to send people overseas.
