    Athena sees raw potential
    The good thingsGreat salary, supportive community, 100% remote EA work in the Philippines. I got hired even though I didn't have EA experience. They have great paid training as well!
    The challengesGovernment benefits are not yet covered but Athena is working around it.

    Who says we're all work and no play?
    The good thingsAthena in a nutshell offers a remote setup with flexible working hours. What else? The company promotes work-life balance and mental health awareness. Also, there are a lot of growth opportunities. I love how we have a supportive community despite working remotely.

    The good thingsGreat culture that's supportive and holds you accountable at the same time. Company has improved so much in the past months in terms of benefits (Macbook equipment, pet support, best-in-class HMO, retirement plan). Company invests in getting people together (Boracay General Assembly last March 2022)
    The challengesChanges are frequent because it is a startup and things have to evolve as the team grows.

    The good thingsPermanent work from home, Work-Life Balance is legit, Great culture and management, High salary (Weekly payout) - WOW, HMO and Pet support.

    The good thingsWorking at Athena has really given me more time to spend with my family, my friends, and my fur babies!
    The challengesTime zones are a huge blocker when it comes to meetings but the Athena community is responsive and approachable.

    Excellent Matching for amazing EA-Client Relationship
    The good thingsThey provide amazing training- complete with playbooks (or commonly known as modules lol) and a 4-hour class with a trainer. After, it might take a while for you to be matched with a client, but Athena allows you to side barge with other EAs to learn with them and also to earn money at the same time. The client I was matched with was highly communicative and transparent with me. He gives me honest feedback and constructive criticisms.

    The good thingsAfter working for more than a decade in several different companies, it was only in Athena that I found genuine work-life balance.
    The challengesNothing glaring at the moment. The company is very transparent about its shortcomings and addresses them in company-wide meetings. Definitely not perfect but there's continuous improvement.

    Work-life win everyday!
    The good thingsAthena has afforded me the work-life balance that I have been looking for in my whole career. Athena provides me the daily satisfaction and fulfillment of work and I get to spend so much daily quality time with my kid right after my shift.
    The challengesThe main challenge would really be on how I am able to manage and compartmentalize the work that I do at home and the roles that I have outside work while being at home. But, so far, Athena has been very supportive and understanding.
