    The good thingsI was able to utilize my previous working experience locally and abroad in this company. While it took more than 7 years before I was promoted from contractual to regular employment, it was worth the wait. During that 7 year period, I rose from the ranks.
    The challengesThe transition from contractual to regular employment should not have taken that long. The management of our division (a newly created group when I joined) however, was giving some hint that sooner or later, few deserving local staff could be upgraded to regular status (like in other divisions) depending on our performance, so I really tried to work hard and performed well.
