ADEC has become my second home for 4.5 years. I have grown to love the company, the people and especially my job. However, they abandoned me during the most difficult time in pandemic.
The good thingsPaid lunch break Shuttle service Clean office HMO after a year of service Competent leaders
The challengesRetrenched during the pandemic but received no separation pay. I was not able to file a complaint in DOLE since I was required to sign a quit claim before I received my final pay.

It's been a pleasure working with ADEC, The good thing is I've started to chase my career and ADEC was my stepping stone.
The good thingsIt's an average company that offers no yearly raise. The work culture in Healthcare is very friendly. You can always rely on your team members, TLs, and Supervisors. There is not much they offer in terms of benefits. Adec is also generous in times of crisis, like when we encounter the account we are handling being closed, and they offer redundancy. In my six years there, they offered six months of salary. we've been in a WFH setup from 2020 since the pandemic started until our last day is Aug 2024.
The challengesIt depends on the account, actually. In Healthcare, since it is a 24/7 operation, it will be hard for the agent to get a decent rest, especially in backlogs, but in terms of incentive, you will be the one to work on how much you can get. Every day on AHOD the support team is required to do production.

    Don’t expect a future here
The good thingsSalary is quite within the industry average, nothing more. Working arrangements will benefit those who want to work remotely. The people you meet here may very well be the people you’ll want to hang out with outside of work.
The challengesExpect only the bare minimum when it comes to benefits. Despite what they say, there are no salary reviews or raises unless you ask for one. It took years before people get promoted. Politics reign supreme here, and it’s the people in the lower level who are often affected. Change is constant, like its mission and vision, but never for the better.

    unfair salary and workload
The good thingsenjoyed the company of my co-workers. very helpful and friendly
The challengesdid not consider experiences when deciding on salary because "it's not ESL" even if they were all related to teaching. I have a lot of teaching exp and was full of classes almost everyday but had lower salary than newbies.

Company that doesn't care about employee burnout
The good thingsThe employees were very friendly. They place you in accounts that match your teaching skills.
The challengesIt feels like working in a disorganized company. You had to ask around about the incentives and leaves instead of just providing a handbook that says it all (also, in order to get an incentive, you need A LOT of classes that'll just make you sick after). Employees were asked to do things out of their job description which shouldve been done by their management. They're too focused on making clients happy (supposedly understandable) but not their employees which is why a lot of us resigned. They didn't even have enough time (or funds) for company events which made their employees more tired than motivated.

Working here lets you say you have BPO experience on your resume.
The good thingsThe people are generally nice and easy to get along with. A huge premium is placed on respecting your co-workers. If this is your first job, it's a good training ground.
The challengesIf you're anything other than an entry-level worker, be warned that there is no upward mobility. The kindness of the people will tempt you to stay, but remember that it also looks bad on your resume if you stay anywhere for a long time and never catch a promotion. It isn't about the pay--I would have taken a fancier title for the same salary. It's about being able to say on your CV that you grew. Also, support for mental health issues could be far better, and was practically nonexistent until COVID hit. Now there are at least counseling services, but if you need Prozac or other meds, those still aren't covered.

I had a great time staying in that company, it was stress free for me. However, I wanted to improve professionally and try to practice what I studied. I am sure that experiences on the company will greatly help me on my next profession.
The good thingsThe company are not strict towards rules and regulations. It was always a case to case basis depends on the situation. It is not also stressful since that it is only 8 hours per day.
The challengesYou must have a flexible time, since that some departments demand an overtime, shifting schedule or weekend work. Also you must always be attentive on whatever you are doing since that it will always affect the outcome of your work.
