A stable company with good team support, but plagued by office politics, poor HR practices, and a lack of leadership support when issues arise.
The good thingsThe company is generally stable and structured, with clear SOPs that help day-to-day tasks run smoothly. Salaries were always paid on time, and standard benefits were provided. My immediate team was friendly and collaborative, which made the work environment more pleasant. I also had the opportunity to be involved in cross-department tasks, which allowed me to broaden my skills and gain exposure beyond my core responsibilities.
The challengesOffice politics were prevalent—favoritism influenced promotions, recognition, and decision-making, often at the expense of fairness. HR management was weak and frustrating; policy violations by certain favored employees were overlooked, while others were held to stricter standards. This double standard created resentment and significantly impacted morale. Additionally, one of the most disheartening aspects was the lack of leadership support. When issues or conflicts arose, managers and senior leaders would often distance themselves or stay silent, leaving employees to deal with the consequences alone. It created a culture where trust in leadership was low, and people didn’t feel protected or guided during difficult moments. Constructive feedback was not encouraged, and speaking up often felt risky.
